Is the litter flushable?

The question of whether litter is flushable involves various environmental safety considerations, especially concerning public water systems.

Flushing cat waste, particularly in septic systems, is discouraged due to the lack of necessary chemical balance to safely break it down.

Our Clay and Diatomite Litters should never be flushed. However, our Corn & Wheat, Organic Soy, and Silica Litters are technically flushable.

Despite Kitty Poo Club litters being made from naturally occurring materials, we advise against flushing them, mainly due to concerns about feline feces. Cat feces can carry the parasite toxoplasmosis, which poses significant risks to marine life.

We suggest using your best judgment when disposing of litter, prioritizing environmental safety and compliance with local regulations.
