Why am I being charged a Temporary Fuel Surcharge?

Due to nationwide fuel rate increases from shipping carriers like FedEx, we've added a small, temporary Fuel Adjustment to orders.

Rather than increasing product prices across the board, we're only passing along a small portion of these increased transportation costs while continuing to cover the majority of shipping expenses ourselves.

How much is the Fuel Adjustment?

The Fuel Adjustment is a small fee added to help offset a portion of the increased shipping costs we incur from our carriers.

We continue to absorb most of the fuel-related increases so we can keep our product prices as stable as possible.

Is this a permanent charge?

No. The Fuel Adjustment is temporary and will be removed once fuel prices and carrier surcharges return to more normal levels.

Why not just include the cost in the product price?

We wanted to be transparent about the reason for the increase rather than permanently raising product prices for all customers.

By listing the Fuel Adjustment separately, customers can clearly see the charge and understand why it has been added.

Was I notified before being charged?

Yes. Subscription customers receive an order reminder email three days before their payment is processed.

The Fuel Adjustment is listed as a separate line item in the order summary included in that email, providing visibility before the renewal is charged.

Does Kitty Poo Club profit from this fee?

No. The Fuel Adjustment covers only a small portion of the increased fuel-related shipping costs we are paying to carriers. Kitty Poo Club continues to absorb the majority of these additional transportation expenses.
